LVP Installation
Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) Flooring Installation in Maryland
We have been installing luxury vinyl plank since it was first introduced to the market. That is years of hands-on experience with how LVP behaves on real subfloors, in real Maryland homes, long before it became the popular choice it is today.
Refinish My Floors, LLC is a hardwood flooring company first, so we understand floors from the subfloor up. That means careful prep, tight seams and clean transitions, from basements and kitchens to whole-home installs in Montgomery County and Baltimore County.

Why Homeowners Choose LVP
LVP gives you the look of wood with a floor that is built for busy, moisture-prone parts of the house.
- Water-resistant construction, a smart fit for basements, kitchens, laundry rooms and bathrooms
- Realistic wood looks, from light oak to deep walnut tones
- Comfortable and quieter underfoot than tile
- Durable against scratches, pets and everyday traffic
- Easy day-to-day care: sweep and damp mop
How We Install LVP
A great LVP floor is decided before the first plank goes down. Our process follows the manufacturer's installation requirements and our own standards:
- Walk-through and measurements, with photos accepted for a fast estimate
- Subfloor inspection, leveling and moisture checks where needed
- Removal and disposal of old flooring when included in the scope
- Planks acclimated and laid out so seams and patterns look natural
- Clean cuts around doorways, vents and stairs, with matching trim and transitions
- Final walkthrough with you before we call the job done
LVP and Hardwood, Under One Roof
Many homes need both. On a recent project in Germantown, MD we refinished the red oak hardwood upstairs and installed LVP in the basement, so the whole house came together with one crew and one point of contact.
If you are unsure whether LVP or hardwood is the right call for a room, we will tell you honestly. Read our guide on hardwood vs. luxury vinyl plank, or see the full Germantown project.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long have you been installing LVP?
We have installed luxury vinyl plank since it was first introduced to the market, so our crew has seen how the products and installation methods have improved over the years.
Is LVP a good choice for a basement?
Often, yes. LVP is water-resistant and handles the temperature swings of a basement better than solid hardwood. We check the subfloor and moisture conditions first so the floor performs for years.
Do you install LVP and refinish hardwood in the same home?
Yes. Many clients have us refinish the hardwood on the main level and install LVP in the basement or a utility area in the same visit. See our Germantown project for an example.
Can you remove my old flooring first?
Yes. Removal, subfloor prep and installation can all be included in one estimate. Send photos and we will tell you what your floor needs.
Where do you install LVP?
We work across Montgomery County and Baltimore County, Maryland, and take jobs anywhere in the state. Text photos to (240) 277-5953 for a fast estimate.
